The Ryan Green defeated Rob Frost in the Pre-Show Match
The Baddest and Marvelous Tony Banks opened up the show. The two rivals squared off in an Ignition 2008 rematch. The Baddest targeted Banks left arm during the majority of the match to take away the power from his opponent. Banks fought back but the injury was just too much and opened the door for the Baddest to hit the Bad News for the victory.
Next up we saw The Parker Brothers 8 Man Mystery Partner Match where Cyrus Parker explained in the rules the ways to victory included connecting 4 and that board games were legal. Yes, ladies and gents board games were legal. The teams were chosen by the Parker Brothers. Tristan picked Cyrus team while Cyrus picked Tristans team. Confused yet? Well the BCWA arena seemed to love it as Cyrus team ended up as Scotty Fraytown, Aiden Hallows, and Malcolm Sunshine. Tristans team was Scotty Primo, Jarek 1:20, and Chase Burnett. The match was wild and the board games were definitely legal. This is a match that cannot be put into words. The finish of the match involved Monopoly, a DDT and money flying. Cyrus team hand their hands raised but the fans were the real winners.
Dynamite Evan Craig locked up with The Last Dragon Zane Silver and brought a more tactical methodical match than the one previous. Craig slowed Silver down and wore him out early by surviving the barrage of kicks and punches. Craig covered and blocked exerting little energy but absorbing a lot of pain. Silver on the other hand was the opposite. Once a door opened Craig was able seize the opportunity take out the legs. With Silvers most lethal weapon damaged, the tide slowly changed into the favor of Dynamite. Silver fought back hard and had several near falls. The constant was Silvers injured leg preventing from making the quick pin, and his ability to capitalize and execute were prohibited. In the end this all caught up to the former Champion when Craig hit a Bicycle Kick. This was a huge victory for the young competitor and a tough loss for the The Last Dragon. Silver seemed like a different man as he left the arena.
The #1 Draft Pick Austin Hytower came to the ring next. Hytower called the fans rednecks and called for his opponent. Big Daddy Gaddy walked out and Hytowers tone suddenly changed. Gaddy hit a devastating Spiral Bomb for the 1-2-3.
The Grudge Match was lined up next when The Hollywood Sensation Johnny Margera battled Hudge. This match was a very hard hitting battle. Hudge attempted a Giant Swing and appeared to tweak his knee. This slowed him down a bit but he kept on the attack. Margera capitalized and went to work on the head of Hudge. Hudge has had a history of head and neck problems and Margera was trying to exploit that. The attack was vicious and meticulous. Margera went for the Hollywoods Calling and caught Hudge in the nose with it busting him open. Needless to say that wasn't where Margera was aiming as it wasn't enough to put the big man down. Margera went for another and was caught with the Fallout. Hudge didn't seem to have the torque on it he usually does and it was evident when Margera kicked out. The knee and head were really causes Hudge problems as he went for a Full Nelson Slam but Margera's foot inadvertently hit the referee. To the surprise of some Dirk Matthews ran out and tried to attack Hudge with a pen. He received a Heart Punch for his trouble. As Hudge turned around Margera had picked up the pen and drove it into Hudge's eye. Hudge went down in a lot of pain and Margera stole the victory. Hudge was taken to nearby hospital. More details will be announced later.
During the intermission autograph session Flawless interrupted The Prodigy Darrell Jackson and told him he needed to join them to help his career. Jackson said no and The Legacy Mathew Priest helped stir things up and set up an impromptu match where he could find a partner for Jackson. Robert Jamez ended up being that partner however, in the end it was Flawless who picked up the surprise victory.
The National Championship match was up next. Steele challenged The Dark star Logan. The match up was very back and forth. Crush was involved quite a bit. It seemed every time Logan was dumped out of the ring Crush was there to put the boots to him. Crush even tried to get involved at the end of the match where he went to hit Logan with a big lariat to the back of the head but the Champion ducked and drop kicked Crush out of the ring. This opened up the opportunity for Steele to nearly decapitate The Dark star and almost become the new champion. Logan some how mustered up enough strength to kick out. He recovered and was able to hit the Welcome To Logan Street to retain the National Championship.
The Tag Team Title Match followed as No More Sorrow defended against CIA. No More Sorrow show cased their incredible team work early on even using the crowd pleasing Crab Walk Dive, and a mockery to Black Velvets Prancers Elbow. CIA was able to isolate The Rockstar Tucker Daniels and do a number on his ribs. Velvet hit The Prancers Elbow and picked up a 2 count. Nick Braxton was able to work his way into to the match after Daniels made a tag. The end came when Denzel Titan set up Braxton for a powerbomb. As Velvet went for the Backcracker out of this Daniels cut him off, Braxton Frankensteinered Titan and picked up the win. Still BCWA Tag Team Champions, No More Sorrow.
The Outlaw Mike Blackwell made his way to the ring for a special announcement. Blackwell announced that with Ignition being the last show at the Tri-CityTradeCenter, BCWA found a new home. Every Sunday starting February 7th, BCWA will make their new Sunday home at the Modern Exchange in Southgate, MI. Blackwell announced that the tickets will now be $5 for adults and FREE for kids under 10.
Finally it was time for the Main Event. The BCWA Championship was on the line when Judas Coltrain challenged Major Money. Two of best BCWA has to offer put on a clinic. Money showcased his technical ability early on. Coltrain utilized his resourcefulness to change the style of match. Coltrain wanted to bring Money into his style of match. He wanted to lure Money into a brawl, a firefight if you will. Coltrain punished the Champion. The confidence in the challenger rose the deeper in we got. Money was battered, and beaten down. Coltrain was a little nagged by his arm but comfortably in the driver seat dragging Money to the deepest part of the ocean. Coltrain had Money at his breaking point. He continued to chop and pummel, and chop and pummel. He was talking down to the champion like a child while punishing him. Money finally had enough and brought the firefight to Coltrain plus some. Money let all the aggression and punishment out on Coltrain. He connected with a Flying Atomic Elbow Drop from the highest of heights. Money followed up with a Moonsault and called for the Sky High. Coltrain seemed desperate and went to the eyes. The two men cracked skulls and were both laid out. Coltrain was up first and followed with a Yakuza Kick for a near fall. Coltrain was within an eyelash of being the new BCWA Champion after connecting with a picture perfect Implant DDT. After attempting a Mason Dixon Line both men were down again when Money hit desperation GTH. As Money battled to his feet he swung wildly. Coltrain ducked and went for another MDL which Money rolled under. Coltrain came to his feet and turned around into the Sky High. Money was able to secure the 3 count and his title. The winner and still BCWA Champion Major Money.
